The unit of currency is the U.S. dollar is divided into 100 cents. Coins are the copper penny (1 cent) and four nickel coins: the nickel (5 cents), dime (10 cents), the quarter (25 cents), and the half dollar (50 cents). The dollar coins are rare silver to find gold and the dollar is in circulation since 2000.

The notes come in denominations of $ 1, $ 2 (very little traffic), $ 5, $ 10, $ 20, $ 50 and $ 100. All these bills are the same size, green, and only distinguished by the value placed on all four corners and photos of the personalities of the country's history as well as certain national monuments.
