The unit of currency is the U.S. dollar is divided into 100 cents. Coins are the copper penny (1 cent) and four nickel coins: the nickel (5 cents), dime (10 cents), the quarter (25 cents), and the half dollar (50 cents). Flag of the United States


The flag of the United States has 7 red stripes and 6 white stripes. These 13 stripes stand for the 13 original colonies. The flag also has a blue canton, a rectangle in the top left corner. The canton has one white star for every state. The colors in the flag are red, white and blue. white stands for purity and innocence, red for bravery and strength and blue for watchfulness, perseverance and justice.
